Director of Elementary Small Group Experiences

In-Office | North Atlanta, GA

Work in a highly collaborative environment to energize and align a team of writers & thinkers to produce excellent small-group experiences.

As the Director of Elementary Small Group Experiences, you will be integral to the implementation of the Orange Strategy within the 252 Kids curriculum. You would participate in leading, writing, editing, and adapting content designed to help elementary-aged kids engage with a growing faith in Jesus. You will lead and develop a team of writers through vision casting, monthly meetings, and providing feedback. This role requires collaboration with the team, adaptation of content, and implementation of curriculum strategies based on key childhood development approaches and spiritual formation practices. In this role you will also collaborate with a team of creatives and thought leaders in creating, designing, and integrating the Orange Strategy into the yearly, monthly, and weekly direction of the Orange Kids team.

What You'll Do

  • Strategy implementor
  • Phase expert (someone who knows elementary age-group of kids well)
  • Curriculum editor and writer
  • Supporter and coach for a team of writers
  • Collaborative work with Large Group Director
  • Contribute to the weekly, monthly, and annual direction of the Orange Kids team
  • Lead group of writers by casting Orange Kids’ monthly content vision
  • Lead a team of writers as they create lesson plans for a diverse landscape of partners
  • Edit and adapt content
  • Align small group content to ensure each age demographic has appropriate voicing, tone, and branding that is accurate and error-free
  • Ensure that the Orange strategy is implemented throughout the writing process
  • Aware of industry-standards for elementary curriculum
  • Schedule team of writers monthly
  • Drive the process along by providing and maintaining deadlines for the team of contract writers as well as theological editor
  • Maintain organized files and open lines of proactive communication
  • Produce quality end product that reflects the diverse experiences of our wide audience, (including but not limited to racial and ethnic, ability, and socio-economic diversity)
